KapStone is committed to maintaining high environmental, health and safety standards which meet or exceed those established by all relevant environmental, health and safety laws and regulations including Sustainable Forestry Initiatives®(SFI), and applicable Chain of Custody standards, and with the Environmental, Health and Safety principles of the American Forest and Paper Association.
KapStone’s goal is 100% compliance with all environmental laws and regulations wherever we do business. This is achieved by identifying, understanding and giving priority consideration to the environmental aspects and impacts of KapStone’s activities, products and services while integrating continual environmental improvement, pollution prevention and employee diligence into daily operations.
KapStone encourages individual ownership and best practice health and safety initiatives to create an accident free and injury free workplace. At the core of KapStone’s operating philosophy is safeguarding our employees, equipment, and facilities through effective management systems, employee involvement, and world class training systems.
KapStone Facility Managers certify to KapStone corporate management the facility’s compliance status with all applicable environmental regulations, permit conditions, and health and safety regulations on a quarterly basis.
