Linerboard
KapStone Kraft Paper Corporation is the largest non-integrated supplier of linerboard in North America, providing high quality, natural kraft fiber linerboard to the corrugating industry. We offer basis weights from 20-lb to 69-lb, with a focus on our Ultra-Performance, lightweight, High Compression, and standard kraft liners.
We pride ourselves on offering superior products, technical knowledge, and unequaled customer service. All of our products are supplied from woodlands managed using the principles and practices of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®).
Our high performance linerboard also allows our corrugating customers to make more cost-effective packaging—increasing their viability for the long-term. Our linerboard products are also used in a number of specialty applications, such as coating, tier sheets, and building materials.

Excellent Strength
- KapStone's Kraft Liner sets the standard for linerboard offering a balanced structure to minimize curl and warp. Two-ply construction features a base layer of softwood fibers for strength and toughness.
- UPL (Ultra Performance Liner) delivers competitive box compression with 26% weight reduction compared to standard liner. Two-ply construction features a base layer of fibers for excellent compression strength and toughness.
- HCL (High Compression Liner) delivers approximately 15% greater strength than standard liner which allows for weight reductions without sacrificing box compression. Two-ply construction features a base layer of softwood fibers for strength and toughness.
- HPL (Hybrid Performance Liner) offers fiber reduction as well as dual performance assurance of both compression strength and Mullen standards.
Superior Runnability
The top layer provides highly refined fibers for a smooth, consistent surface for printing and a tight pore structure which improves resistance to air permeability, glue penetration and ink holdout.
